I am back on the blog after a long break. I completed my master's degree during this break, thank God it is over :)
I am starting to talk about what we did and where we went during our 2024 summer vacation quickly..
We planned our 2024 summer vacation according to the opening of schools :) Let's say it is the comfort of being a family without children. We planned to spend 3 days in Bodrum, 2 days in Datça, and 4 days in Marmaris in the second week of September.Bodrum
We chose Azka Hotel for Bodrum this year as well, which we knew from previous years, but I can't tell you how much I regretted it. The hotel has switched to an all-inclusive concept in the 2024 season, and with the transition to this concept, the service has really gone down the drain. Since we had been there in previous years and knew the hotel, we were very surprised by this drop, and believe me, if we hadn't paid the money, we even thought about leaving the hotel.
We can say that Bodrum is our rest stop, we rest here and travel around the next stops without stopping :)
Of course, we went to Gümüşlük - Melengeç, a place we stop by every time we go to Bodrum, this year too :) The fee we paid this year was 6800 TL.

Datça
Datca Center and Old Datca were the plan for our 2-day trip. We stayed at Sapphire Hotel on the famous Taşlık Beach slope in Datça Center for 1 night. The hotel was normal, it was enough for one night. The view from our room overlooking Taşlık Beach and the marina was very nice.
We visited Old Datça before the center. The ambiance of Old Datça was very nice, we liked it very much while visiting this place and we didn't know that we would return here for dinner.
So what did we eat/drink in Old Datça?
* Tekin Usta Ice Cream - I remember 2 cones as 400 TL.
* Pizza Trio - 3 pizzas, 3 glasses of wine, 2 beers, 2 waters 3340 TL. We simply loved the pizzas :)
After hotel check-in, we left the hotel immediately and toured along the Taşlık Beach and the sandy beach on the Datça Center coast and finished the center. We went back to Old Datça for dinner.
After visiting Datça and the bays on the second day, we set off for Marmaris.

Marmaris
We went to Marmaris and first went to İçmeler and then Turunç. Normally, the hotel we booked was in Turunç but we did not like the location of the hotel at all, we had to climb for about 10 minutes to get to the room at the hotel so we gave up on the hotel and started looking for a new hotel. Marmaris city center was definitely the right choice for us.
During our hotel search in Marmaris, we visited İçmeler and Turunç and loved İçmeler. In the evening, we quickly settled in our hotel, threw ourselves on the Marmaris Kordon and rested in a cafe.Day 2; Kız Kumu, Bozburun, Selimiye, Orhaniye.
Day 3; After completing the Marmaris Castle and bazaar tour, we turned our car to Akyaka :) We joined the boat tour in Akyaka, how amazing it was.. After finishing Akyaka, of course we went to Köyceğiz.. We went to "Vadi Restaurant", a place we like in Köyceğiz, and ate fish and yogurt :) Then we enjoyed the swing for a while..
Day 4; It was the boat tour day that we made a reservation for the day before. It was a day when we saw magnificent bays and enjoyed the sun and the sea :) We had our dinner at a seaside restaurant on the Kordon, and we can say that we ended our holiday :)
It can be very difficult to walk along the Kordon in Marmaris at night, the restaurant, cafe, bar staff are constantly trying to pull you into their places. People holding women's arms, various antics, etc. These are unpleasant aspects.. it is better to stay away.
